"The South Shore is fortunate to have so many great restaurants – what is missing is high quality barbecue options.  Lily’s fills that gap."

Jon Siegmann, Co-Owner and Co-Founder of Lily's Craft BBQ is a fifteen-year resident of Hingham who began his love of barbecue twenty years ago living in Texas. “The South Shore is a wonderful place to live -- my wife and I are raising our 4 children here, and the local restaurants are one of the things we love most about it.  We wanted to add something truly new and different.”

A 20-year investment professional, Jon saw an opportunity in an unlikely area – bringing a food style better known south of Mason-Dixon line to New England. “It’s the perfect food for people I know in town who love to celebrate life’s moments with family & friends. Barbecue serves small and large groups equally well, it’s unique and fun, and everyone loves it. However, unlike most other food choices, most people can’t cook Barbecue themselves. You need to own a large smoker, know how to use it, and then cook the meat overnight for up to 15 hours getting up every 2 hours to restock the wood and check the cooking.”

One of the best memories of living in Texas is getting people together for BBQ. I thought there was a wonderful opportunity to bring this to South Shore families.
